Flex POS system

Fast, simple, and flexible — the game-changer your restaurant has been waiting for.

When traditional systems failed, we realised restaurants deserve better — so we built our own. Katalyst OS Flex POS is the restaurant point of sale designed by people who got sick of complicated, slow systems bogging down their service.

Built different

What makes Katalyst POS different?

Our founders started Katalyst OS because they saw a major gap in the market. As restaurant owners, Dan Roland, Cole Dillon, and Scott Bleczinski had extensive experience with POS systems and merchant services and were well aware of their shortcomings. After years of dealing with clunky, rigid POS systems, the trio resolved to develop a solution that would be flexible, simple, and modern — the POS they’d always wanted but could never find. And so, Katalyst was born.

What is a Flex POS system?

A Flex POS (point of sale) system stands out from other merchant services because of its flexibility. Unlike traditional POS systems that are stationary and installed on a desktop computer or dedicated terminals, Flex POS systems can operate on portable devices like tablets, smartphones, or any other mobile device. Every handheld connects via Wi-Fi or LTE to the rest of the system and uses end-to-end encryption to protect your company data.

It also opens up the possibility to accept contactless payments via Google Pay and Apple Pay. These systems are usually cloud-based, allowing for automatic saving, updates, and analytics. Traditional POS systems require manual updates and backups, and many do not support contactless payments at all.

Another significant difference is scalability. Flex POS lets restaurants effortlessly add more registers, locations, or features as their business grows. Traditional POS systems demand a more complex, extensive setup. Flex POS systems are ideal for businesses that plan to grow and expand.

Built from within restaurants, for restaurants

Katalyst OS was born out of a need for a comprehensive, easy-to-use point of sale system for restaurants. Our software has been tried and tested, and consistently beats the competition — we would know, since our founders rely on it daily in their very own restaurants.

One single login, infinite flexibility

Tired of juggling countless usernames, passwords, and security questions? With Katalyst OS, you only need one secure login. Spend less time looking around for passwords and more time actually running your restaurant and making sales.

Modern cloud-based system for scalability

One of the key benefits of our cloud-based POS system is its ease of use. Katalyst OS runs on iPads, so we can set up your system in a matter of minutes. This flexibility also means our POS system can easily adapt when adding new restaurant locations, relocating, or launching a new brand.
